IsoTherm 0-80°C
This device was designed as accessory for the Micromeritics ASAP 2020 / 2050 Surface Area and Porosimetry system but could be adapted for similar instruments if required.
It’s used instead of cryogenic bath and establishes analysis temperature levels above 273K. Typically the device can be used for measuring of the multiple physical adsorption isotherm of Nitrogen (high pressures with the ASAP2050), carbon dioxide and hydrogen on required temperature in the range of 0 to 80°C . The achieved temperature stability is better then ±0,05 °C.
Cooling power of the thermoelectric elements is dependent on the temperature and is in the range 7 W on 0°C to 70 W at 20°C.
Sample tube slot diameter is 32 mm / depth 260 mm
General description
The temperature stability in the aluminium-block is established by the dual-loop PID regulator with Pt-100 thermometer. Setpoint can be easily adjusted by the keys on the front panel of the PID regulator, both setpoint and process value are visible on the simultaneous display. Optional communication via RS-485 interface using standard Omega Process Monitoring and Logger allows adjusting of setpoints, other parameters and Ramp and Soak programming. It is also possible to optimize the PID behaviour of the system. Nevertheless all the necessary settings have been done in the production.
Temperature in the aluminium-block could be also monitored by the PC. The slot in the alu-block allows using standard ½ In straight-wall or 10 ccm-bulb sample tubes with intalled isothermal alu-jacket that improves the homogenity of the temperature field.
